Hi Gillian. You can purchase a product called Natures Miracle. This helps eliminate the order. If you have access to a carpet cleaner I would pretreat the area with this and then purchase a OXY carpet cleaning solution made for pet stains. Go over it a few times. In some cases the more you clean it the more the urine is lifted up and out of the carpet, so it can get worse before getting better. -

At Walmart get Kids N Pets Stain & Odor Remover. We used this when our cats got older and had accidents, worked great. Just follow directions, very easy.
