If the above doesn't work, this will, but is very time consuming. Place item on a flat nonporous surface. Put blue Dawn on the effected areas. You can use the edge of a spoon to work the Dawn into the spot/s or a tooth brush, but the spoon works best. Be gentle so as not to break the threads.
I had to do this to 8 pairs of jeans when my daughter left a red lipstick in her back pocket many years ago and it was all over our jeans. They had been in the dryer, which is what melted the lipstick.
This removed all traces of the red lipstick. It took forever, but it worked.
