How can I clean the white grout in my kitchen and bathroom floors?
I am tired of having clean floors that look dirty. I am at an age where it it too difficult to get on my hands and knees with a brush once a week to clean the grout. They always look dirty! There has got to be an easier way!!

Getting on hands and knees is not for me either. I hired a young lady to clean the floor and scrub the grout really good. Then I had her paint a sealer on the grout. I used a Thompson sealer that is made for outside, to stand up under sun, rain and snow. After that All I had to do was take my steamer mop to it once every couple of weeks. And wet mop in between if needed. It lasted 7 years that I know of. Have sold that house and moved on.
For stains:
Lysol Lime & Rust Remover Toilet Bowl cleaner, comes in a black squirt bottle. Scrub with Scrub Daddy or Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
Once it is clean, seal the grout lines. Then mop with this solution:
1 cup baking soda
1 cup white cleaning vinegar
1 Tbsp blue Dawn
2 gallons hot water (I boil about 1/3 of mine)
Hi Phyllis, I had the same problem at my previous house. I chose white grout and it never stayed clean. To clean the floor tile and grout without having to get on my hands and knees, I used a floor cleaner that scrubbed the floor and sucked up the dirty water https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000R5LVVA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've had it 9 years and it still works. After a while, I gave up on trying to have white grout and went to the home improvement store and picked up some grout paint/sealer and changed the color. It held up well and saved me alot of time. https://www.lowes.com/pd/MAPEI-Grout-Refresh-8-fl-oz-Cobblestone-Ceramic-Porcelain-Tile-Grout-Sealer-Squeeze-Bottle/1000096394
Hi Phyllis - This is the shower cleaner that we use to help keep grout and tiles clean and minimize the mildew - it works on kitchen grout too. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
