How can I remove pet stains from wood floor?

How can I remove a pet stain from a hardwood (oak) floor without refinishing the entire floor for one small spot? The floor has a water-based polyurethane finish that has held up very well over the years and is not scratched. I have tried Bona cleaner and floor polisher with no improvement. Thanks for any suggestions!Beverly

  Thanks for the info, Jeremy. I have a doggie door leading to my fenced backyard; however, when the weather is bad, on a couple of occasions my little guys decided they were NOT going out in that and used the upstairs hallway instead without my realizing it until later, thus the stains!
