Here are 5 different methods:

You need to clean it first with a pet enzyme cleaner like My Pet Peed, Nature's Miracle etc. Then I would get some NoMark spray and wipe the furniture (wooden or metal) down with it. A black light flashlight will help you find all the spots as cat urine floresces.
First I would find out why my cat is spraying and peeing on the floor. A vet visit might be called for to see if the pet has urinary crystals.
Are there cats outside in your cat's territory he is responding to by spraying. You might want to get a pet deterrent hose adapter that detects motion and gives the invaders a blast of water. You will have to move it around so they don't figure out how to evade it. You can also put some opaque window film on the lower half of the windows so he can't see them. Also some outside cats will even pee/mark on the outside of your door. So you may need to clean it and wipe with no mark.
Unfortunately if they have been repeatedly peeing in the same spot on the hardwoods, sometimes the wood will need to be replaced. Treat this spot with the enzyme cleaner until there is no odor, and then put a little box there until your cat loses interest.\
Make sure your cat boxes are cleaned daily, and replace the litter every month to break him of peeing on the floor.

We always started with Nature's Miracle. Depending on the state of the floor you may need to just treat it like a water stain and try to remedy it that way or you may need to sand and restain.
Hello Anne, hope these help you out
