How do I remove fabric glue from linoleum flooring?

I accidentally got fabric glue on my linoleum floor during a project. I didn't know it at the time so it dried well. Once I noticed I tried to clean it with everything from goof off to good ole fashion soap and water. I can not get anything to take it off. Any ideas?

Have you tried using a straight edge razor? I have a window paint remover that holds the straight single-edge razor, and I pull it across to remove stuff. If you push, you run the risk of gouging. If you pull, it should start removing it either in a single chunk, or even bit by bit.

thank you for your reply, The area is a thin coat and has dried, if I try a straight razor it will mark the flooring. But it won't hurt to try it being very careful. thanks again.

Heat it up and try scraping it off.

Thank you, I tried scraping but it is too thin and I am afraid I;ll mark the floor..

I would try heat. If you have a heat gun great! If not, improvise. An iron, no steam, with a paper towel on the glue spot?

Perhaps try Dawn mixed with vinegar.
