How to clean carpet after a cat throws up on it?

Our cat often throws up hair balls on the carpet. How do you keep the stains away?

Hello Jeanette! You might want to invest in a smaller spot cleaning carpet cleaner. You can find them at places like Walmart. If you use an enzyme cleaner made for pet spot and odors to initially start the cleaning, then use the spot cleaning machine to scrub and rinse the areas you should be able to keep the stains away.
Jeanette...We like a product from Auto Zone called Blue Magic. It works great on carpet as well as fabric.
I know this will sound weird. But Windex.
And this will sound even weirder ... with five cats, i experience the same. I have found if i let the hairball/vomit dry up completely (i know weird-right) - it comes up easier and cleanly.
Get rid of the cats? Have you tried Resolve or a cleaner specifically for per stains?
