How can I eliminate the fibreboard smell in IKEA Malm drawers ?

I bought a tall boy Malm in the spring for my walk in closet. It was fine for a while but in the last couple of months ( ? Heating season ) I’m getting a fiberboard smell that is also lingering on my clothes. I’ve added Dove soap to the drawers but now my clothes smell like a mix of fibreboard and Dove - not pleasant !

that's terrible ! I think you might have to seal it with something...but then it just may smell like chemicals...

Hi jackie, use Bi Card of Soda. The Soda absorbs the smell, and draws out the odours. Place, some Bi Carb of Soda, in a jar or plastc container. You will need, to make small hols in the lid. Leave in the closet, near the tall boy, so the Soda, can draw out the smell. You can even, use tnis method in the fridge. Place the container, in the back of the top shelf, leave and shake now and again, replace with new Soda, when nessasary. Re gards Kay Adelaide Australia 😎

You can set a bowl of coffee grinds in there. They are know to absorb/neutralize odors
