How do I clean a large round Ethan Allen copper top coffee table ?
The table is about 8 years old and has gotten dull and dark. I think it had a laquer finish put on it but now it is dull and needs to be cleaned. Do you know how to do it?

I'd call Ethan Allen.
Try ketchup!
Yep, slather ketchup on the copper top and let it sit for a while. Wipe and rinse. Mat need to touch up areas.
Toothpaste
Hi Elizabeth. Sounds like the sealer has aged. Copper has several looks: bright, aged, patina-ed. You need to decide what you want. That will guide you on how to refinish your piece. Good luck!
Not something I would DIY with home products especially since you cannot rinse your table off to remove it all. I have huge sets of copper pot/pan/bowls & many copper collectibles I use a product called BioCleaner(get it on QVC.com( this is what it looks like https://www.qvc.com/qvc.product.V36122.html?colorId=851&sizeId=000&ref=GBA&cm_mmc=GOOGLESHOPPINGFEED-_-GShopping|L|BrandProduct|home+improvement|vacuums+cleaning-_-pla-_-s|dc_41632033626_pla-771222884774__V36122-851-000_&mkwid=s|dc_pcrid_41632033626_771222884774_pkw__pmt__productid_V36122-851-000&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzZ2ci6yN5AIVkLfsCh33uQzuEAQYAiABEgJwb_D_BwE ) or on Ebay its a clay from France non abrasive, cleans and polishes & protects it works well on my glass cooktop too as well as stainless steel like sinks and pots and pans. here is some additional info. https://www.everbritecoatings.com/copper_cleaner.htm
You might try the suggestions on the bottom of your copper surface to see which look you like the best before using on the top surfaces.
Hi Elizabeth: I'd try Barkeepers Friend, the dry stuff, in a small area to see if you like the way it cleans. I love the way it's so fast! Then, I'd make sure it's free of all of the product, rinse it well and then put another protective coating on it.
Make use of warm water, a clean, soft cloth, and light soap. Use of strong chemicals or disinfectants that can dissolve the protective wax and react with the copper is not advised. Waxing & Protecting: Every few weeks, apply clear paste wax to your copper table top to keep it sealed and protected.
Hi Elizabeth, hope this helps you. It has some great expert advice
