Scrape as much of the paint as possible. A better knife works well for this chore. Then dip a clean cloth into white vinegar and begin blotting the paint.

The paint will begin to transfer to the cloth. Have a bucket of water nearby so that you can rinse and squeeze out the cloth. Squeeze the cloth as hard as you can to get as much of the water out of the cloth then re-dip it into white vinegar. Continue with this process until the tempura paint is removed.
