How to get food grease stains off of a chalk paint kitchen table?

I just purchased a table and chairs that were chalk painted and waxed. After one meal the kids got grease marks all over the table and it won't come out. I tried wiping it right away with mild detergent and absolutely nothing happened. What to do now?

Yes! Try using wax with a shop towel! I've had success even getting a permanent marker off with wax.

I would use a bit of ammonia to remove the stained wax, and then rewax with chaulk wax that was used.
