    Hi Judy,

TSP is often recommended to clean greasy kitchen cabinets before painting. Click on the link below to know more about it. Wishing you the best.

A mixture of water and vinegar in a spray bottle can be used to remove dirt and greasy marks on your cabinets. Vinegar breaks up the grease without damaging, causing any abrasion to the polyurethane.

If you are going to refinish-TSP. Available in paint stores. Wear gloves. TSP will clean it down to the finish.

If just to clean (and you are not prepping for painting) , as it is finished with polyurethane, try Sudsy Ammonia (store brand) and water in a scrub bucket. You may have to rinse. But it will remove grease.
