You might want to try filling the tub with hot water to cover the stains then add bleach and Oxyclean together. Let soak several hours. There is no hazardous gas from mixing the two. I used this on a tub that not even scouring powder touched. Good luck.

Try Lysol toilet bowl cleaner( the one for rust and lime build up) if its an old cast iron tub. Use the whole bottle to cover all the stains and let it sit for a while I used a floor brush to scrub it around then rinse. If its fiberglass try comet and Mr. Clean magic sponges. Good luck!

Not sure what kind of tub you have but I have worked magic on 2 kinds. Use equal parts warm Dawn and vinegar. I saw the warming part on Pinterest. Spray on and leave for awhile, then use a magic eraser scouring pad. Truly magic

I had the same issue...tried everything (but vinegar). "The Barkeepers Friend" cleanser and polish (found with comet powders section) did the trick for me and does for other areas like that. Hope you gave success!!

Vinegar and baking soda. Spray with vinegar, sprinkle on baking soda, let it sit. Spray and scrub with more vinegar and the baking soda.
