I am moving house soon and I noticed there are block spots of mold on the white silcone around the bath, as well as on the plastic window frames. There is not a lot but enough to be noticed and I want to get rid of these. I tried bleach. Is there any one out there who can give me more advice please? I want to leave this house in pristine shape.

Last winter, unbeknownst to us, our boat tarp had a small hole in it resulting in a terrible mess on the seats with mold and mildew. We first tried bleach, then other mold and mildew removers to no avail. After some Googling I found a product called Shoreline Mildew Stain Remover. You can find it at some WM's, but not sure if you can get it in the UK. It worked great. Just spray it on and it does the work. You might have to use multiple coats, so it can be time consuming, but easy. Since we were outside, I'm not sure if you'll need good ventilation, but it's something to think about before starting. Here's a video I saw that sold me on getting some and trying it.

I have read that hydrogen peroxide gets rid of the mold.

I have used Kaboom for mold, mildew, stains and any other hard to clean spots.

Just this past weekend I did all of our window frames with the Target brand of Tilex. It worked great!

Apple cider vinegar works wonders on these little spots of mold. My mom use to use it when we get a little moisture around the edges of the old storm windows in the fall/winter months and it got rid of it. With a little elbow grease it was gone didn't come back for weeks to months.

Clorox bleach is the best. I put it in spray bottle and do not dilute. Spray directly on spot and walk away it will disappear. No need to wipe it.

Clorox spray let sit a few minutes rinse if you want to or let dry.

Make sure to dry the areas! Mold comes from moisture.

No, the suggestions about cleaning the caulking will only lighten the mold spots. YOu need to completely remove the caulk around your bath tub and put in new. I also have what you are talking about around my aluminum windows caused by condensation hitting the metal. I suspect the only way to fix those will be to replace the caulking there, too. I always choose mold resistant caulking and I don't use the type that requires a caulking gun. (I'm an old lady.) Tubes are easier to handle. Trust me. Help answer this question...
