Blacklight vs urine!!
Looking for carpet treatment that can be used so pet urine will NOT show when a blacklight is used. We have used an enzyme cleaning and shampooed regularly. Visually, the carpet looks good, however, now our whole carpet lights up, even where the dog has not urinated.

It almost sounds like something that you clean you carpet with has a property in it that triggers the black light to light up. Perhaps the enzyme cleaner and shampoo cause this? Perhaps contacting someone at a carpet store and asking them may help. A company that does carpet cleaning would only try to convince you to hire them, unless you personally know one who would be able to give you honest advice. -

Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide 35% diluted down to 17.5% or you can use an enzyme cleaner... -

Because most carpet cleaners just spread the dirty water around, your diluted “urine” stains could be spread 4 times wider than original stain. Go to your carpet store for suggestions or go online for info on your specific type of carpet.
