I actually like Oxyclean and Dawn, myself. 1/2 gallon (2 liters) of water, 1/6 cup of Oxyclean or hydrogen peroxide, and a squirt of Dawn in a bucket or gallon jug. Stir or shake the mixture. Choose a place that won’t be seen to test the mixture. If the cleaner bleached the rug color, use the mixture in a washer (or 8) of sheets. Use a sponge to barely wet the stains, then rub into the stains. Let it dry, then rinse with clean water. Let that dry and vacuum, or use a wet vac. It would be normal for the previously stained area to be cleaner than the rest of the carpet. That’s your decision whether to clean the whole carpet or not! Best wishes 😇🍁

Peroxide can bleach some colors out. I would take Jewell's suggestion.
