Cleaning acrylic showers with Easy-Off Fume Free Oven Cleaner?

I've been told there is a way to use Easy-Off oven cleaner to easily clean acrylic showers? Has anyone else heard and/or tried this?

I would do a test spot first. Oven cleaner has some strong chemicals in it! -

I agree with Ann. Do a test first. CLR is a good product to remove soap build-up. -

It does work! It's what I recommend when the question comes up. Works on enamel, porcelain, and fiberglass. -
