Hi, Debbie: I put mine in warm (not hot) water and let the wax get soft, then you can scrape out with a non-sharp implement (so you don't scratch the silver). You have to stay with them in the water so it doesn't cool too much and harden the wax again. Somewhat tedious, but it works.
I was advised to slip my candlesticks in the freezer for a couple of hours. The wax gets hard and can be pried out but I don't know if silver would be ok in the freezer
