    Simple. Use and old soft-bristled toothbrush and very warm water and toothpaste. Be sure to brush through underside of stone. Rinse well and dry with lintfree material. If you do this at the sink make sure you plug in the stopper - just in case. For diamonds, let your ring soak in a bowl of dissolved denture tablet - for just a few minutes. Brush, rinse and dry. Oh how it will sparkle. Warning - I haven't tried the denture cleaner with softer gems yet.

    depends on the metal. I’ve had luck on real gold with white vinegar. Rinse thoroughly and dry. makes stones sparkle
