I have hard water and iron staining (you know those really ugly dark orange stains) from my well water, I use "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner on my shower, tub, and sinks...works like a charm, very little scrubbing, and it's cheap (about 89 cents). Wet down the shower first, squirt cleaner, scrub a little and rinse well. I would suggest wearing gloves if you have sensitive skin like I do. Everything comes out bright white again!

I have the same problem, only with lime deposits from our public supplied water. I'v used Lime Away with limited success. I'll give The Works a try. Who makes it?

Vinegar. You’ll have to figure a way to soak it. For shower heads & faucets, fill a plastic bag about half Full. Using a large rubber band, & secure. I leave it over night. It removes all the white crusty lime deposits from our rual water supply. Also muratic acid will strip it off glass shower doors. If used on fibreglass be sure to not leave too long. Ive never used it in my fibrrglass shower, tho, but have on the tub.
