How do I get the scratches off my cereal bowls and plates>

As you use dinnerware more and more they develop scratches on them. I knew at one time but forgot the magic formula to fix it. Thanks for your suggestions. :)

Baking Soda, Cream of Tartar, or Bar Keeper's Friend! All are mildly abrasive- use your finger to rub the substance across the scratched areas.

What type of dinnerware is it? What material is it made from?

  Oh, I was thinking that if it were ironstone, there are some kinds that scratch permanently. If it is daily china, then I would try KellynTony's suggestions.
