  • My friends keep a squeege in the shower. Every time someone uses the shower they squeege it down to keep it tidy. Plus drys faster, less chance of mildew.

Absolutely, Naomie! When I remodeled my bath, I put in a new glass enclosure (that was very expensive!) on my newly remodeled tiled shower. I was advised to do this very thing with the squeegee, by the guys from the glass co. They also told me to make sure no water was left on the glass as that was what created the foggy, almost impossible buildup you see on so many older showers enclosed by glass! So after the squeegee, I then totally dry mine down with an old towel that I keep just for this cause. And they also told me about extra strength alcohol that one can purchase from the automotive stores, or sometimes even Walmart automotive or hardware departments; that is, if you're like me & totally OCD/ obsessive-compulsive disorder; (self diagnosed...). It just makes me feel better every now & then to really clean it down inside & out by spraying on the alcohol, & before it dries, using an old rayon slip, nightgown, or anything similar as your washing/drying rag to remove the alcohol & give your glass a total no-swipes in sight, clean, clear look! (The old rayon rag leaves no lint, either!) Also, before leaving the shower, rinse down your walls, removing all soap scum! I ALWAYS do this! My shower is now a couple of years old, & haven't had to clean my pretty porcelain tile (that looks like high-grade marble!) yet. See, I warned you that I was OCD, hence the long drawn out answer!

We have glass shower doors and I keep mine clean and even spot free 2 ways. 1st is the go to daily shower cleaner. Ya know. The spray after you shower stuff? 2nd is the obvious. I just use my bath towel to wipe them dowb after I dry myself off. A big misconceptio. Is that you have to dry them completely and make sure there are no streaks. Not true at all! Just a quick swipe to get the most water ofg is good enough. Now, mind you, these are my tricks that have to start with a clean shower!
