How do you clean a stainless steel wall mounted toothbrush holder?

Help! How do I clean the wall mounted stainless steel toothbrush holder. I'd prefer to rip it off the wall however previous owner installed tile behind it so I would end up with a big hole in the wall. At least if I could clean it up it would look a lot better.

If it is real stainless steel try the spray cleaner for stainless. If that does not work try vinegar and water with baking soda,make paste leave on for a while and rub off.

First, what is on it? hard water marks and toothpaste? Hard water spots, first try Downey fabric softner, mixed w/Dawn to make it adhere to soak it... If needed, scrub w an old toothbrush. If that doesn't work, try CLR- cleaning product. Once you have it clean, spray it with Rainex- automotive windshield treatment. Please tell us what works for you

CLR is great on stainless steel especially sinks and faucets and other fixtures!

Soak several paper towels in Apple Cider Vinegar. Wrap the toothbrush holder with the soaked towels then place a Ziploc baggy over it and let sit for 20 or 30 minutes. Remove and wipe down with a clean towel. It should shine like new! :)
