How do you clean a very stained bathtub?

I have a bath tub very old and very stained and nothing could clean it, please help.

    I recently used baking soda, salt and vinegar. Layer the baking soda & salt and then spray on the vinegar. Next use a scruggie to work at the stains. Finally, after you since this all away, put the stopper in and pour straight chlorine bleach on & let it sit. Good Luck

    Go online and get the site about cleaning an old tub with oven cleaner. It takes stains out like magic!

    Use Barkeepers friend and scrub with a scouring sponge.

    I found out with a stopped up drain when I poured the GEL DRAIN O and the bit that rested around the drain hole while the clog worked out turned really clean after soaking so I cleaned the whole tub with it. Put it in a spray bottle if possible to target your area better

    Easy Off No Fume Oven Cleaner in the BLUE can. Spray it on, let it foam and sit till it liquefies. Rinse away.
