most important thing is very hot water and gloves with whatever cleaner you aare using. if you have a floor steamer or hand held steam cleaner it works quite well. may take several tries to get it all.

is shower door glass or plexi? - if glass, a glass scraping blade may help after heating with hot water before scrubbing. try vim paste for stainless steel to get thru grime/dry calcium and soap build up.

Cut a lemon in half, smearing on every inch of door squeezing as you go, let sit for 5 minutes, just spray off and you will be amazed! the only scrubbing you have to do is when your applying the lemon. This also works great on your faucets and handles removing the hard water stains, it really shines the chrome as well makes it look brand new.
