My son is a home inspector. He recommends using a mixture of water and bleach. Make sure you use a face mask designed to trap mold particles. You do not want to inhale any airborne mold. Simply saturate the mold area with the bleach water and leave it. You will see it disappear. If not, apply a second application.

If this is not something you feel you can do on your own, there are restoration companies that will come in and do it for a fee. Check your area for local water disaster companies. Good luck to you !

Not all black mold is toxic, and not all toxic mold is black! Small amounts of mold can be removed the way Susie Lee recommended. Really large areas should be seen by a specialist.
