Take them down and into your bathroom. Spray them with a degreaser. Turn the shower on them and tilt them sideways. The dirt will run right off them and they will look brand new. Make sure to do both sides.
I put mine in a tub of water with a little Dawn. I leave them there while I clean the sills and windows. Rinse with the shower head or hose. I place them over stacking chairs and let them dry on the deck. The hardest thing is getting my husband to rehang them.

If they are small enough I put them in the bath tub and clean then place outside to dry.
Or you can lay on driveway spray with Hose
I use an old tube sock on my hand and a solution of warm water and white vinegar!
