you can try a bit of baby powder or chalk rubbed over it, and then brushed off. normally, all we ever did was vacuum them.
I purchased a hand held spot lifter a couple of years back, it has paid for itself many times over. Great for cloth furnishings lampshades and drapes. If you go this route, vacuum the lampshade before adding any wetness for cleaning.
First vacuum. There is a dry sponge designed for cleaning fabric. Just swipe it with a down stroke, clean as best you can. Sorry I don't know the name of the sponge but it might be from Fuller Brush. It is a very dense sponge but you might find it in a store that specializes in cleaning products.
Silk is washable. I wash all my lampshades. Make sure kitchen sink is spotless and fill with warm water and a mild cleaner. Rotate shade in sink holding it by the top and bottom. Remove, drain water and refill sink to rinse. Hang safely where it can drip dry.
I use pet rollers to clean my shades
