The only way I know to remove calcium buildup off of anything, faucets, counter tops (including granite), shower doors, etc., is to spray to saturation with vinegar, wait about 10 minutes, then scrap gently with a razor blade tool. Works like magic but you must be careful not to scratch the surface. As with most tough cleaning jobs, elbow grease and patience are the virtues!

I used WD-40 to clean lime, calcium, scale buildups. It takes a bit of elbow grease, but doesn't harm any finishes. Totally saved me from replacing a shower door frame.
We have very hard water & the best & easiest thing to clean it with is citric acid which can be found in the home canning section at Walmart. I sprinkle some on a wet cloth and wipe. It doesn't require much elbow grease either.
white vinegar and water - 50/50 concentration or one of the products they have at Home Depot then use a sealer over the whole counter.
Hi, I have had success with a product called CLR. It removes calcium, lime and rust safely. It's available at most hardware stores. You would have to check the label to see if it's safe to use on granite. Best of luck.
