How to clean rubber ring inside insulated cup lids?

I have several of those yeti knock off insulated cups. The black rubber rings in the lids have become sticky and are making it difficult to get the lids on and off. I washed them with regular dish soap and water as I was doing my hand washables. So what’s food safe and won’t harm the rubber to get the gunk off?

Ann...Are you removing the rubber ring to wash? The groove needs to be cleaned too..also the rings will occasionally break and we have ordered to replace.
Yes, I’ve removed the rings, washed them and the top separately. The rubber ring feels sticky
I don’t know why it got marked as resolved...I still have sticky rubber rings
it may be deteriorating ... breaking down ... can you buy replacements?
