Deedee, if you mean cooking oil, here's how:

    1. Blot oil stain with a paper towel
    2. Cover the stain with baking soda and let dry (to dry oil out)
    3. Scrub with soft toothbrush to break up the dried baking soda
    4. Wipe stain with liquid dish soap
    5. Launder

Try Espro Sports Laundry Stain Remover. It is the best thing I have ever used. It got crayon that had been washed and dried out and also grease spots on clothes. Spray it on and use and old toothbrush to gently work it in. Then wash. You might need to do more than one application. I would hang the shirt up to dry after washing. Putting things in the dryer can set the stain. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Espro-Sports-Cleaner-Stain-Remover-with-Odor-Guard-32-fl-oz/24553396

If you can get your hands on some Pink Solution it will clean out any type of oil. Apply full strength and rub into the stain. Let it stand for 10-20 mins. Then scrub lightly with a bit of water. Add to the laundry and wash as per usual.
