heavy build up is easily removed with a razor blade scrapper, then I use Softscrub
HOT vinegar sprayed on. May take several tries.
I like the Dollar Tree Awesome Orange in the 1/2 gal to clean showers, and the CLR will also take off lime deposits on the glass. If its really built up get those 3M green scrub pads.
If it was my shower, I would close the door and run HOT water, close bathroom door and let it get steamy. Then turn water off and climb in with a paint scraper and start removing the scum. After most is gone, a good bathroom cleaner will take off the rest. Follow with a nice glass cleaner.
Baking soda & warm vinegar sprayed on the surface in small areas at a time. Let stand for about 10 minutes. Whip off & repeat if needed. I found it less stressful if you go over the whole area first then repeat in the areas needed.

SOS pads and elbow grease will work wonders. Once you have everything clean, use car wax (follow directions) to protect the door from soap build-up. Wipe the shower walls/doors with either a cloth or squeegee following each use.
Full strength vinegar and a scrubbie sponge. May take a few tries.
spray well with vinegar, let sit for a few minutes and then scrub with a scrubbie sponge- the kind that have a rough side for scrubbing teflon pans. If that doesn't work, try CLR.
Magic eraser
Give Bar Keeper's Friend a try. it's commonly available at grocery stores and places like Walmart/Kmart near the scouring powders (Ajax/Comet). You'll recognize it by the gold canister.
Mildew spray then scrub with SOS or Brillo pads..
The dryer sheet trick really does work! But the vinegar ideas listed above should work and its nontoxic!
