How to remove stuck on window tint

I have an old glass sliding door we put tint on ages ago. My little grandson pulled a large piece of the silver like top sheet. I'd been wanting to remove it any way as it was scratched and dinged up some, which is how my grandson was able to remove some of it. Anyway, I could only remove the top layer and the part with the glue on it didn't come with. I have tried Windex, hot soapy water and a razor blade. Nothing worked at all. Any suggestions?

I've just removed the tint from the car windows, which is the same principle. Use a steamer, it will just peel away, if you remove it slowly, it will take the glue with it as well.

I've watched a number of videos on YouTube where they used steamers or blow dryers and it appeared to come off quite easily.

Use a warm water and vinegar solution in a spray bottle. Adding blue dawn dish detergent to the solution may also help. Good Luck!
