Pumice Stone is the best. You can use it several times, it's cheap and no harsh fumes. It's the only thing that works for my toilets. You can buy it at Walmart with the toilet cleaning supplies.

I'm using citric acid, baking soda and essential oils. Google toilet bombs. Instead of making bombs, I mix a batch up and put in a plastic container with a fast food soup spoon and put a spoonful in after I flush the toilet and leave it until the toilet is flushed the next time. Really keeps the toilet clean. I have a bad buildup that is diminishing without a bunch of work.

I am using just the baking soda, citric acid and essential oils. I use 1 cup bs, 1/4 cup ca and then a bunch of drops of whatever oils I like. A lot of the bombs add dish soap which allows them to be shaped - it's just so easy to use a spoon and put a spoonful in each time. Easy peasy!

Stick with the nontoxic pumice stone. If you can stand the feeling of scraping the stone against the porcelain, it will remove 30-year-old rings within just a few minutes. Amazing. I hate to think how many chemicals (and dollars) I used before discovering pumice stones. They're not for weekly use, but nothing's better for those permanent rings.

In my experience, pumice scratched the bowl. I used peroxide w/baking soda. Let it sit overnight & flush in AM. Then put some vinegar (1cp) in the tank & use as usual. I make sure I add vinegar to tank every other week. Keeps bowl clean & fresh.

I have a 50 year old house with HARD water. I try to keep the toilets clean but... hard water build up happens. I use The Works Toilet Bowl Cleaner. Best stuff for cleaning the rust/hard water stains that build up in toilets DO NOT USE IN TUBS ETC - JUST THE TOILET! Empty toilet - use siphon to remove as much water as possible from bowl Squirt on sides and under rim Let sit 20 min or so Flush Done, sparkling clean toilet,
