1) place in silverware basket in dishwasher for a cycle, 2) soak in antiseptic mouthwash soak for 30 min. 3) mix of 3 teaspoon chlorine beach to pint of water soak for 30 minutes rinse well.
If it needs cleaning, it's probably time to replace it.
I dip mine in vinegar for a few minutes then rinse and let dry.
Mine gets dribbled with hydrogen peroxide after every use.
