Wax paper stuck on baking dish

One of my boxed food direction said to line the baking dish with parchment or wax paper and warm up in the pre heated oven. Well, the wax paper is stuck on the dish. how can I remove it? I soaked it overnight. It did not budge.

This is a controlled removeal. You want to soften the wax, not melt it. Fill the baking dish with hot water. Add a few drops of dish soap to the water. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the moist heat to soften the wax on the paper. Use a flat plastic scraper and scrape the wax paper off. Wipe off the bits of paper from the scraper periodically. Remove all the wax paper the baking dish. Sprinkle the baking dish with an even layer of baking soda. Add some hot water with a few drops of dish soap. Let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes to allow the baking soda to work on any residue left from the wax paper. You can use a kitchen scrubbie at this time. Rinse the baking dish with hot tap water. Cheap wax paper (dollar store) will stick. You should have used a cooking spray with the wax paper. Parchment paper has a silicone coating and won't stick, but cooking spray still should be used.

It's still in process. Little bit at a time is coming off. I will keep at it.
