Folks here really love vinegar, and it's worth a try since you probably already have a bottle of white vinegar. Oxalic acid, sometimes sold as wood bleach, will take rust stains off of anything. Use sturdy rubber gloves to protect your hands.

There are a lot of commercial rust removers available. I found good comments on one called Rust Out. I also found the use of vinegar can remove rust. In addition, you could look in your manual for cleaning instructions for your dishwasher. If you don't have it, you might find it online or call the manufacturer. Hope that helps. Wishing you the best & Happy New Year!
Barkeepers Friend - It works wonders!
Try ZUD. I believe you can buy it at Wal Mart
Pumice stone & water
Jolly old, Bi Card of Soda, and white vinigar. Mix some soda, into a past, on a saucer, add a few drops, of white viniger. Rub, the rust staine, with soad, and viniger mixture, till ruts comes off, then rince. Depending on how long the rust stain has been left, you may need to use another application. Tooth Paste, is allso an abrasive, that's not, harsh to. It's allso very effective. Tip. Use an old, soft toothbush, to rub the stain. Good luck! Kay Adelaide Australia
CRL is my favorite. Also if you can find "Tang" it will do it in the dishwasher plus get rid of calcium
It is Calcium, Rust and Lime Remover. It comes in a gray bottle and says CLR on the label.
