white vinegar and water 50/50 a dab of blue dawn dish soap and a dab of jet dry
Hello Mary ! The best cleaning solution is vinegar and water. In a spray bottle combine 50% white vinegar and 50% water. To dispel the strong vinegar aroma, you can infuse it with your favorite essential oil fragrance or even a rosemary sprig. If you infuse it with fragrance, let the mixture sit for a few days. I use a solution of vinegar and water with a little bit of Dawn. Invest in a good quality squeegee. After I spray I scrub with a sponge and scrub pad for stubborn spots then squeegee. I finish with a microfiber cloth in the corners and edges. For outside I use the same solution with a little Jet Dry in a bucket. I apply the solution with a sponge mop then hose off to rinse. No need to dry.
I have a large two story house too and use this product from Windex (there are other brands too) that you attach to your hose and clean. Be sure rinse completely with water or it will streak.

Streak Free Windows and Mirrors
Mix 1 cup vinegar, 1 cup 70 % isopropyl alcohol, 1 cup water. Use only cotton cloths, don't use the dryer to dry the cloths, the dryer pads made streaks on the window.

First, take an equal amount of vinegar and water and mix them together in a spray bottle. White distilled vinegar will work best for this. Then, spray the solution on your windows and let it sit for around two to three minutes. Lastly, use a gentle cloth to wipe away the cleaning solution and avoid any streaks.
I use half and half plain white vinegar and water, spray on and wipe with a microfiber cloth.
