You just have to wipe them down with fresh water. Our house had wallpaper on all the walls since 1958 and we just washed them after..works really well. We were able to paint when they were dry. The wallpaper was put on with paste and the wallpaper was very thick. Good luck a lot of work but, worth it in the end, I detest wallpaper now..lol
Every time I clean my mirrors, they end up having tons of streaks and almost look worse than before I started. What could I use to clean them that won't leave streaks...

Use fabric softener in your water..wipe down the walls after a few minutes. The wallpaper will easily peel off and it smells nice too...
