water. About 1/2 to a cup of white vingear to a pail of water. Be sure you always use a clean mop.
Terry, I can't help but wonder if there may be a wax build up on your hardwood floor, because enough buildup will make your floors look dull and dingy. You may have to strip the wax off IF your are POSTIVIE your floor IS hardwood, and THEN have it refinished to get back that high gloss shine you want. Also you may have damaged your floor with vinegar and other products you have used, as it WILL etch hardwood, as will any cleaner that contains quelites (Pinesol, 409, etc). You should NEVER use anything on your hardwood floors that isn't PH - dedicated to hardwood floors.

rinse with water on clean mopand use some wax product for shine. I loved future acrylic for years. hard to find now
I was told when mine were installed to 1. Clean with dust mop, then 2. spray Mohawk's Hardwood & laminate floor cleaner on a microfiber mop and then mop the floor. We have been doing this for 5+ years now. We were told never to use water, or vinegar because they do not seal hardwood floors anymore.
There is a FLOOR SHINE you can get at Home Depot it works
Also if they are older hardwoods the finish may have become abraded and there is no shine to be had unless you put a new top coat on.
How old are the floors, what finish is on them?
I use a product called Woodwise. I ordered it from the company the first time but you can get it on Amazon.
