You can first try Mr.Clean Magic Eraser to aid in the removal. Then if that is not enough make a mixture of either bar keepers friend, bon ami,or baking soda into a paste with water and rub into the soiled area. Once you have done this go over with some dawn detergent and water, Repeat as necessary...

Good old elbow grease and a scrubbing of hot soapy water should work. Once you get things cleaned up, regular weekly cleaning should do the trick of keeping the red mud at bay

This. LA's Awesome Orange. http://www.amazon.com/Totally-Awesome-Orange-Purpose-Degreaser/dp/B0017KQ04W This stuff cleans just about anything. It's worth the $7.49 from Amazon, but I get it at the dollar store.

I use straight up bleach. Especially if there's mold. You have to be more careful with it but it works quicker than if it's deluted.

I would think just about any cleaner. Try some Dawn Dish Soap in hot water.

@Judithcausey I would try Dawn dish soap and some vinegar and some lemon!

I just use my all purpose spray bottle. It's 2 cups water, 1/2 cup vinegar and 3-4 drops of dish detergent. It's great for tiles, shower doors and mirrors, but I use it all over the house

I would not put vinegar on metal even if it is painted! I use 409 on mine. We had new windows put in and now I wish I had put in charcoal instead of white! I did put in charcoal gutters with a dark gray roof and it looks great. It has been 5 years and we see no dirt! HA! (I am sure it is there but we don't have to "see" it)

How about spraying with something like Rain-X to help repel water like it does on a windshield?

@Tracy I like your idea! And there are several types of Rain-X so just make sure you purchase the right one.

I have found one of the best cleaners for ANYTHING dingy is to use dishwasher soap mixed with water. I use it on lace, counters, floors etc etc etc. It cuts grease, cleans stains, andbrightenes anything that is white.

Mr. Clean Magie Erasers will clean it off then wax them and you won't have to clean as often.

If you're planning to do it daily, use the least abrasive cleaner to maintain the sheen of the vinyl. First though, clean it well (I also like dish soap and warm water or just an all-purpose cleaner) then rinse. Then keep your favorite cleaner in a spray bottle. Get after the dirt with that and old rags daily :-) (We have 3 dogs so I know about all that dirt!) LOL!

I use a big bucket of warm water and powdwered oxy clean, a scrub brush and hose. It is easy. If you have it inside just use a damp rag rather than the hose. I do same on white wood.
