Plain old toothpaste - the old fashioned white stuff, not the gel. Pick up at any dollar store (cheapest), or sometimes Walmart has 88 cent tubes.

Naomie's got it. I did the headlights on my daughters car with white tooth paste. Just dampened a clean cloth, dampened the headlight lens, squeezed out some tooth paste on the lens, and gently rubbed in a circular motion in small areas. Keep the lens moist. Wipe and check the progress every few minutes. Tooth paste has fine powdered marble as an abrasive in it. The ones on TV are solvent based and remove some of the surface plastic lens, like Wipe New. Others use abrasive pads in a multi-step process to remove the discolored surface. The lenses are made of plastic that will discolor over time from weather and UV rays.
Toothpaste definitely does the trick! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXHTXdlWw1w
