How can I remove iron stains from my vinyl siding?

We have a lawn sprinkler system. It is connected to the water line just before the water goes through the process of being sifted and softened. So what we're watering the lawn with comes straight from the well. The water directly from the well has a lot of iron in it and from where the water has sprayed on the siding and sections of the fencing, there is a large rust colored stain. We have tried CLR and it doesn't work. Any other suggestions Home Talkers?

Try Bar Keeper's Friend!
Iron Out worked well for me.
clr kitchen and bath has been working for me, i hope you are using iron removing salt in the water conditioner. i to had to put in a salt free tap for my plants as well. i have done a fair bit of camping over the years, using rv water filters. many of those filters will remove iron and lots of other yukky stuff. read package directions an find one that will work with a garden hose.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner will remove the rust stain -- the kind you turn upside down with the dispenser intended to disperse under the rim of the toilet.
Barkeepers Friend!
BarKeeper's Friend or Cerama Bryte might help, they're gentle but do have some real stain removing power.
Using something like Pine-Sol or Simple Green, apply the cleaner to the stain and let it sit for longer—about ten minutes. Use your scrub brush (make sure that your brush is soft bristled, so you don't scratch the vinyl siding), scrub the stain after the pine cleaning product has set for ten minutes or longer.
