How can I wash off olive oil that got spilled on my flagstone patio.

It's so porous -- left a big black stain. I tried dish soap thinking it would cut the oil -- but it just made it worse. Now I have an olive oil/dish soap stain. I'd appreciate any product suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Annie. If you have access to a pressure washer that should do the trick. Just be careful not to have it too high of pressure so it doesn't wreck the stone. I had cooking oil spill on concrete and it was the only thing that worked for me. -

Vinegar will help. I wouldn't worry about it too much, the sun, wind, rain will eventually dry it up. -

Tape off a design (Hexagon etc) include the stain into the design. carefully spread olive oil on to the deck use a rag to incorporate. The sun over the years will expose a nice patina. -

Cat litter, the non clumping kind. Then you can use a product called krud kutter to scrub of any residual.
