Our slate patio has become very slippery. How do I clean the slate?

I can't see it, but a friend says it has a moss on it which makes it so dangerous.

I pour buckets of hot water with some ammonia in it, and use a stiff brush to loosen up any moss, and then rinse off with the hose.

We used dawn dish soap. Just add a quarter cup of dawn to 1 gallon of water. Mix well, then use a push broom to clean, & rice with water. It cleaned our slate very well & it stopped it from being slippery. It will also remove any moss.
Wash it with vinegar and a stiff brush and hose off. Get help if you can't see it yourself.
