What is the best way to clean outdoor carpet on our back deck?

I would try using a pressure washer, or scrubbing it with soap water. -

Just dew and air moisture can get trapped beneath your outdoor carpet and cause dirty/black spots. Not sure if it is glued in place, but if not, lift it to help get air movement underneath. If it is not overly large, hang it on your deck rail and spray clean with soapy water and rinse and leave to dry out. -

Pressure wash with the special soap that is recommended for pressure washing. Best time to do is a warm sunny day.
