Put a bowl of ammonia in oven for 24 hrs then back away from door and open it, don't inhale fumes, then wipe out oven.
Hi David, Jenny's advice is exactly how I clean my oven. It also works on bbq grates, just place the grates in a large plastic heavy duty garbage bad add a good amount of ammonia and close the bag well. In a few hours you can rinse the "gunk" off your grates. Ammonia is potent though, so be careful with eyes and skin and lungs when using it.

An Insanely Easy Eco Oven Cleaner
make a paste out of baking soda (1/2 cup) 3 table spoons of water. spread with a brush inside your oven. leave overnight or at least 12 hrs. remove residue with a towel then spray with vinegar and wipe it down.
