What is the best way to clean an old, white, cast iron farm sink?

My husband and I bought a Queen Anne home built in 1903 and renovated it for our office. It has a tiny kitchen, added much later I'm sure. It has a cast iron sink with drainage grooves at one end and the sink on the other end. It is badly stained but no one sees it except us, so I don't want to go to the expense of having it resurfaced if I don't have to.

Clean it of dirt and soap with an all-purpose cleaner. Sand any rust spots. Tape paper or a drop cloth so that you are making a tent for the sink. Cover the faucet and handles. Spray paint with Rust-oleum for cast iron or porcelain, preferably in low gloss white. Dry, remove the paper. Tape off the sink and spray silver or chrome faucet and handles. The sink will look brand new. ☺️ -

Baking soda, warm water, and vinegar! Make like a paste, scrub with toothbrush. -

comet cleanser. I grew up with porcelain sinks, and weused comet. -

Bar Keepers Friend, Comet, Ajax. All else fails try Easy Off No Fume Oven Cleaner in the BLUE can.. Works on enamel, porcelain, and fiberglass.
