Pap, scrub your brick on the mailbox outside and inside the box with bleach, half as much water, and a few drops of Dawn. To prevent mildew, you could seal the brick all the way to the ground with outdoor polyurethane. Seal the inside of the box, too. Try to do this in a hot dry day, starting right after the mail has been delivered. Then the box will have 24 hours to dry. If any water stands around or flows toward the mailbox, dig a narrow trench to divert the water. Best wishes, Pap. ☺️
