I have used Shout stain remover to get sticker glue residue off of things before. Spray with Shout, let it set in for a few minutes and scrub off.
Nail polish remover,acetone or Goo b gone
you can spray the glue reside with Pam or any cooking spray and then wipe with a paper towel.
I second @jacquie ‘s suggestion. Basically, anything that has oil in it will most likely remove the gummy residue. It may take some elbow grease, but it works. I’ve used Pam, coconut oil, vegetable oil, etc. to remove gummy residue.
Go Off should not be used, it can melt some plastics.
DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER/ACETONE IF THERE IS ANY PLASTIC IN THE GLASS! IT WILL MELT IT!
